<a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbecue' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Wikipedia</a> defines barbecue or barbeque (informally BBQ in the UK and US, barbie<a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'> in Australia</a> and braai in <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Africa' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>South Africa</a>) as a term used with significant regional and national variations to describe various <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooking_methods' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>cooking methods</a> which use live fire and smoke to cook the food.<a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbecue#cite_note-GBC-1' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>[1]</a> The term is also generally applied to the devices associated with those methods, the broader <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuisine' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>cuisines</a> that these methods produce, and the meals or gatherings at which this style of food is cooked and served. The cooking methods associated with barbecuing vary significantly but most involve outdoor cooking.I describe it as tummy rubbing good eats! <a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Perry_(restaurateur)' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Henry Perry</a> has been donned the father of Kansas City barbecue. He moved to Kansas City from the Memphis area in 1907 and from there started his barbecue empire in the Garment District. Perry’s style of smoking meat over a woodfire in an oven or pit became the signature of Kansas City BBQ, as did his sauce, which was much spicier than the ones we eat today. Perry is so vital to the Kansas City BBQ scene that July 3 has been named Henry Perry Day in Kansas City to honor a day 100 years ago when Perry fed over 1,000 Black people on the lawn of his restaurant. That spirit — generosity and straight up innovation — is Perry’s legacy, and still influences Kansas City barbecue culture today.

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
