Questions<ul><li>The topic of neighborhood public services and community connection is well researched. <ul><li>A 2017 article from Wei et al., "A New Look at Public Services Inequality: The Consistency of Neighborhood Context and Citizens’ Perception Across Multiple Scales" identifies public services as required to meet basic needs, and places such discussion in the context of exploration involving the public service inequality index in relation to, and influenced by, neighborhood cohesion and satisfaction. Using census data from a neighborhood in Ecuador, this article combines qualitative and quantitative data collection methods and findings to develop a comprehensive view of neighborhood public service access and cohesion as valuable facets to satisfaction with community and quality of living. Researchers ultimately emphasize the overall importance that recognizing such factors from both a measurable, and more subjective view is required to address disparities that exist among such across multiple scales.</li><li>2019 article "Neighborhood Satisfaction: A Study of a Low-Income Urban Community" from Ciorici et al., explores neighborhood satisfaction with specific regards for the role played by the relationship between and availability of quality public services and social cohesion. This article makes the interesting, but insightful, consideration that social cohesion often plays into the perception of adjacent community considerations, as if those local services are provided by respected community members, they are often viewed more positively despite the conditions of the service itself. Using data from a Resident Satisfaction Survey in North Camden, this article explores neighborhood satisfaction and how it may best be understood and supported through policy and appropriate program support. With its findings, the authors of this article note that social relationships cannot only be considered for their existence in a community, but if they are of value to the community member, offering a valuable highlight into the difference between relationships in a neighborhood, and the level of cohesion among community members.</li><li>Wei et al.'s, 2016 article "Local Geographic Variation of Public Services Inequality: Does the Neighborhood Scale Matter?" takes a different approach with exploring health related public services specifically, and using zoning data to expand research and understanding of public service inequality. While relying on zoning data for their analysis, the authors of this article emphasize the importance of scale and considering beyond objective and measurable sources, but in favor of considering the social and cultural context. And ultimately argue that to best assess means of avoiding inequality in public service access, it is best to understand how "neighborhood" is define to estimate the needs and characteristics of locale.</li></ul></li></ul>

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. Both products share similar storytelling capabilities, so if you are familiar with StoryMaps, you'll feel right at home with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you do not migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you can save any content you would like to keep before the June 30, 2025, retirement date. The options for saving content include saving stories as a PDF and saving frames using a screen recording.

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
