In 2017 Jim and I loaded the vehicle and headed off for an actual destination. I say this because for the two-dozen or so years prior - our motto was to go wherever the road happened to take us. One year we stopped for fuel in <a href='https://traveloregon.com/places-to-go/cities/albany/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Albany, Oregon</a>. While I removed a generous coating of bug splatter from the windshield, Jim began a conversation with the driver of another vehicle at the pump island. The fellow insisted to Jim that we go at once to <a href='https://www.visitmendocino.com/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Mendocino, California</a>.
Fueling and bug detail completed, I resumed my position at the driving wheel. Back in the passenger seat, Jim relayed the message to me. "That fella says we should go to Mendocino". At this very moment a random compass bearing south was placed into our minds, to Mendocino!
One has to be open when on the 'open road'.

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
