William Penn High School

First Baptist Church

 The First Baptist Church  provides a place of worship for the community and most likely includes students from William Penn. The Youth Groups include grades 6-12, and could indicate a key interest and part of our students' lives.

Schoolside Apartments

The first housing noted in the area included apartments and row homes. These options are very close to the school, likely occupied by some of the students attending William Penn.

House Displays of Political Engagement

A representation of support shown for the democrat Nicole Poore that was a recurring sight. 68% of voters voting democrat in the 2021 elections.

Riverside Baptist Church

An alternate place of worship in the area that is also a baptist church. Riverside is presented as an  "old fashioned"  church offering traditional services and bible study.

Walking Paths

Unlike the paths near the high school, the areas between the elementary schools and youth education centers have expanded walking paths for easy travel.

Condominiums

Among the streets of houses, a building of condos lays about 3 minutes down the street. This is another form of housing that could be evident in our student body.

Baseball Fields

New Castle Little League, established in 196, provides the community access to the fields as well as to a social organization. Ranging from younger age enrollment to their senior team reaching up to high school aged students.

Fierce Dance Academy

Celebrating their 10 year anniversary, Fierce Dance Academy offers different levels of difficulty for classes, including competition level. Having a studio in the area can foster dancers and individuals who are interested in the activity.
