Is it a sheep? Is it a slug? No, its a Leaf Sheep! The sea slug Costasiella kuroshimae, or the Leaf Sheep, as it is more commonly known, is quite a bizarre, but undeniably adorable creature. The Leaf Sheep is simply a grazer of algae, and sucks on so much of it that it can photosynthesize. By incorporating the chloroplasts of its favorite food into its own body through a process known as kleptoplasty, this cute little creature has developed the means of harvesting energy from sunlight. In a nut shell, it has fully functioning solar panels on its back! This is a very rare phenomenon among the animal kingdom. Aside from its many adorable features, you can only imagine marine biologists' excitement when they came across this rare little beauty.

To get started, select a section of the styling panel and make some adjustments. As you adjust different elements, you’ll see this story adjust to demonstrate how they look. If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
