My final project will cover the rise and fall of communism in Soviet Union, starting from the end of autocratic rule in Russia seen in the February Revolution to the ultimate demise of communism after the Cold War. The project will examine the Marxist-Leninist ideals that inspired communism within the Soviet government, as well as the struggle to maintain a communist government in a country with little to no resources following major wars such as World War I and II. Additionally, my final project will explore the Soviet Union&apos;s attempts at spreading communism, especially into the Western Hemisphere where the United States and its democratic ideals resided. The clash of ideologies (communist versus democratic) present in the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States will also be covered, but with a significant focus on the Soviet Union&apos;s actions and perspectives during this conflict.
