Indonesia is a country located geographically in the South-Eastern section of Asia. According to the Parliament of Australia, the country consists of over seventeen and a half thousand islands, of which some six thousand are inhabited (APH, 2024). It is the fourth largest country in the world with a population of 273 million, and its unique geographical footprint means that it spans three time zones. Economically, the country&apos;s GDP was estimated at approximately 1.32 trillion US dollars in 2022 according to the International Trade Administration (2024). Environmentally, Indonesia has a wide variety of different types of ecosystems. These range from the dense tropical rainforests discussed in this interactive map to volcanic regions, coral reefs, and coastal areas.

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
