IntroducciónDurante el siglo XX México vivió un periodo de relativa estabilidad política, conocido como la Pax Priísta, un fenómeno que abarcó desde la consolidación del Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), en 1946, hasta el fin de su hegemonía en el año 2000. Este periodo estuvo marcado por el control absoluto del sistema político, una economía en crecimiento durante varias décadas y la promoción de un discurso de unidad nacional, conectando el proyecto priísta con el legado de la Revolución Mexicana. Sin embargo, detrás de esta imagen de progreso y modernización, estaba un sistema autoritario que limitaba la pluralidad política y reprimía sistemáticamente los movimientos sociales que desafiaban su hegemonía. Para comprender este periodo, es imprescindible situarlo en su contexto histórico. Tras el estallido de la Revolución Mexicana (1910-1920), México enfrentó una etapa de inestabilidad política caracterizada por luchas entre distintas facciones revolucionarias. La fundación del Partido Nacional Revolucionario (PNR) en 1929, precursor del PRI, fue clave para pacificar el escenario político y centralizar el poder. Posteriormente, en 1938 el PRM se consolidó durante la presidencia de Lázaro Cárdenas. El PRM marcó un cambio hacia una organización más estructurada y sectorial, la cual buscaba representar a distintos sectores de la sociedad. Fue así como estableció las bases de la estructura política que el PRI, a partir de 1946, mantendría por décadas, consolidando su control sobre los sectores populares y su capacidad para mantenerse en el poder a través de un sistema corporativo.

Your theme’s accent color is used in both quotes (see above) and separators (below). If you add an express map to your story, your drawn features will use the accent color too.

StoryMaps.com Retirement and Migration to ArcGIS Online

After one year, you will need to purchase an ArcGIS Online subscription to continue using ArcGIS StoryMaps. Check out the StoryMaps <link>retirement page</link> for more information on the ArcGIS Online subscription options.

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. Both products share similar storytelling capabilities, so if you are familiar with StoryMaps, you'll feel right at home with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you do not migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you can save any content you would like to keep before the June 30, 2025, retirement date. The options for saving content include saving stories as a PDF and saving frames using a screen recording.

You are invited to migrate your account and content to ArcGIS Online where you can continue storytelling with maps. With ArcGIS Online, you’ll get access to ArcGIS StoryMaps and the easy-to-use story builder you are familiar with, plus so much more!

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
