The Muwekma Ohlone Tribe is a contemporary Native American group descended from the original indigenous inhabitants of the San Francisco Bay region. These descendants trace their ancestry through the Missions Dolores, Santa Clara, and San Jose and were once part of the historically Federally Recognized Verona Band of Alameda County. The Muwekma Ohlone Tribe&apos;s ancestral homeland includes San Francisco, San Mateo, most of Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, and parts of Napa, Santa Cruz, Solano, and San Joaquin counties. Today, the tribe represents over 500 members working towards regaining federal recognition after being removed from official rolls without termination.Although the Indigenous Peoples of the San Francisco Bay Area are commonly referred to by the unifying term &quot;Ohlone,&quot; the Ohlone have never been one tribe. Instead, there were many different groups of one or more villages or nations. Today, &quot;Ohlone&quot; refers to a collection of around 50 tribes with related languages that historically occupied the Northern California Coast from San Francisco to Monterey Bay and into the lower Salinas Valley. These tribes have lived in the Bay Area for approximately 10,000 years. The Ohlone people today remain in various geographically distinct groups, one of which is the Muwekma Ohlone.

To get started, select a section of the styling panel and make some adjustments. As you adjust different elements, you’ll see this story adjust to demonstrate how they look. Quotes use the theme’s title font, but you can also choose one of several different styling options.

Your theme’s accent color is used in both quotes (see above) and separators (below). If you add an express map to your story, your drawn features will use the accent color too.

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. Both products share similar storytelling capabilities, so if you are familiar with StoryMaps, you'll feel right at home with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you do not migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you can save any content you would like to keep before the June 30, 2025, retirement date. The options for saving content include saving stories as a PDF and saving frames using a screen recording.

You are invited to migrate your account and content to ArcGIS Online where you can continue storytelling with maps. With ArcGIS Online, you’ll get access to ArcGIS StoryMaps and the easy-to-use story builder you are familiar with, plus so much more!

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
