Though Yellowstone National Park is well-known for their wolves today, they were, in fact, absent from the park for a majority of the park&apos;s existence. In the 1800s and 1900s, people&apos;s perceptions of conservation were starkly different from what we know today. The combination of hostile prejudice against wolves and a lack of ecological knowledge and research had dismissed wolves as pests to be eliminated. This story map navigates through the social, political, and ecological obstacles marking the complex history of wolves in Yellowstone, from extermination to restoration.

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
