Students chose to come to Fairfield University through closed-off gates for the one same reason, to get a good education. Students spend hours studying for exams and when students sit down for an exam, they make sure they are far enough from the person next to them so no one can see their paper and risk having their answer stolen. Does this make the students hiding their papers selfish? Ayn Rand’s philosophical idea of objectivism creates a way of believing that every man should have self-esteem and should be able to look out for themselves and his morality and happiness before they worry about anyone else’s. Ayn Rand’s explains this also in her Novel Atlas Shrugged she makes her philosophical idea clear, “Here, we trade achievements, not failures - values, not needs. We’re free of one another, yet we all grow together”. Her philosophical creation seems like it is on the right track to a Utopian project considering her new code of morality is already believed to be impossible, yet she still has her novel and ideas shared throughout people to let them know this way of living could exist and would be for the better. She also states in the interview with CNN that she also is living by this with her husband whom she owes nothing but would give him items he may need but would not do it for his benefit, but rather to make her own self feel good inside. Coming back to Fairfield University, even if a student wanted to give another peer their answer to an exam, there still would be authority stopping them from doing so. This would cause there to be a punishment. This consequence is what motivates students not to share their answers with others. If Ayn Rand says that we should not permit force against people who have hurt no one. Then this would show how Fairfield is not a Utopian project since we are not starting to be able to test our abilities with other people’s offers and abilities to help each other out of just the sake of our hearts. There is the sheer competition that exists in schools, especially at a higher level of education where people are there to achieve one thing and one thing only, a degree. Students are so strung on getting a degree they will listen to any authority around them to make sure they are achieving this goal with the least consequence possible.

To get started, select a section of the styling panel and make some adjustments. As you adjust different elements, you’ll see this story adjust to demonstrate how they look. Your theme’s accent color is used in both quotes (see above) and separators (below). If you add an express map to your story, your drawn features will use the accent color too.

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. Both products share similar storytelling capabilities, so if you are familiar with StoryMaps, you'll feel right at home with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you do not migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you can save any content you would like to keep before the June 30, 2025, retirement date. The options for saving content include saving stories as a PDF and saving frames using a screen recording.

You are invited to migrate your account and content to ArcGIS Online where you can continue storytelling with maps. With ArcGIS Online, you’ll get access to ArcGIS StoryMaps and the easy-to-use story builder you are familiar with, plus so much more!

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
