Firstly, Japan is located within the ring of fire. This makes it very susceptible to natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis that ravage cities. Japan is also mostly made up of mountainous terrain which limits the land in which is fertile. The limited land only makes this harder, as deforestation and ecosystem destruction has been commonplace to make place for urbanization and agriculture. This also means the resources within Japan are naturally limited, adding this to one of the densest populations in the world means the efficiency in which Japan uses space and resources must be excellent. Japan being an island also makes it susceptible to flooding and sea level rise.Being one of the technology forefronts in the world it makes sense Japan is one of the innovators when it comes to green energy. They invest a good portion of money into the defense against climate change and violent weather, including infrastructure that can withstand natural disasters and new solutions for energy rather than fossil fuels. This is even more important in Japan as the weather conditions are extreme regardless of disasters, the summers and blistering and the winters are freezing. In turn more energy is used to stay warm or stay cool. The unbelievable urban density only speeds up how much energy is being used within a certain area. Despite all of the negative&apos;s, respecting nature is actually an embedded part of Japanese culture. Living a &quot;Shinto&quot; lifestyle has allowed much of Japan to be clean, and many people act as defenders of natural forests. Japan is also an active part of the Paris agreement as they have implemented many policies and devoted a lot of their funding to battling climate change.

To get started, select a section of the styling panel and make some adjustments. As you adjust different elements, you’ll see this story adjust to demonstrate how they look. Your theme’s accent color is used in both quotes (see above) and separators (below). If you add an express map to your story, your drawn features will use the accent color too.

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. Both products share similar storytelling capabilities, so if you are familiar with StoryMaps, you'll feel right at home with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you do not migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you can save any content you would like to keep before the June 30, 2025, retirement date. The options for saving content include saving stories as a PDF and saving frames using a screen recording.

You are invited to migrate your account and content to ArcGIS Online where you can continue storytelling with maps. With ArcGIS Online, you’ll get access to ArcGIS StoryMaps and the easy-to-use story builder you are familiar with, plus so much more!

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
