MCAEL's mission is to strengthen and build adult English language learning programs and instruction to further individual and family success at work, school and in the community. We work to ensure that the system of adult English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programs is accessible and meets the different needs of learners through a range of low or no-cost classes, drop-ins, and conversation clubs. The MCAEL coalition includes about 60 adult ESOL programs involving about 1,500 staff and instructors, reaching about 16,000 learners. We support programs through grant funding and technical assistance, as well as through professional development opportunities for both adult ESOL program managers and instructors. MCAEL maps and analyzes learner and class information annually to assess how well the adult ESOL system is meeting the need and to identify where the system needs to be strengthened -- in particular, the specific geographic areas and communities which need greater access to ESOL instruction. This analysis informs our program priorities, including our grants program.

This story includes several of the pieces you might use in your own story–like paragraphs, buttons, separators, and more. To get started, select a section of the styling panel and make some adjustments. As you adjust different elements, you’ll see this story adjust to demonstrate how they look. Try changing the paragraph font, and see what happens to this text.

You can style your paragraph text to use bold, italics, and bold italics, so you can emphasize important text accordingly. These come pre-packaged with the fonts you’ve chosen, so there’s nothing extra you need to configure.

Quotes use the theme’s title font, but you can also choose one of several different styling options.

Your theme’s accent color is used in both quotes (see above) and separators (below). If you add an express map to your story, your drawn features will use the accent color too.
