The Industrial Revolution allowed for the concept of fast fashion which produces clothing at a cheap and fast rate with the aim of maximizing profit at the expense of the exploitation of workers and environmental degradation. SHEIN may be the most conspicuous contemporary example of this as with their lack of transparency around their supply chain, they are able to skirt laws relevant to preventing the exploitation of vulnerable workers as well as engage in the degradation of the environment without facing repercussions. The creation of SHEIN clothing begins with the extraction of crude oil, also known as petroleum. To extract the oil, first, a rig structure is built in the desired location. Afterward, a well is drilled 1000 feet above the underground area where the oil is trapped. Once the desired distance is reached, the drill pipe is removed and the well casing is cemented. Afterward, a perforating gun is lowered into the ground and then fired into rock layers. Then fracking oil is pumped through the hole releasing the oil. Crude oil is then refined into components that are reconfigured into new products.

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. Both products share similar storytelling capabilities, so if you are familiar with StoryMaps, you'll feel right at home with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you do not migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you can save any content you would like to keep before the June 30, 2025, retirement date. The options for saving content include saving stories as a PDF and saving frames using a screen recording.

You are invited to migrate your account and content to ArcGIS Online where you can continue storytelling with maps. With ArcGIS Online, you’ll get access to ArcGIS StoryMaps and the easy-to-use story builder you are familiar with, plus so much more!

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
