Hi! My name is Regina Miller and I am a sophomore attending Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. I am studying economics and environmental studies, and I am passionate about all things sustainable! I am currently a Climate Solutions Intern at the Wildlife Conservation Society, researching ways to incorporate climate mitigation and adaptation in communities I am a part of. Throughout my experience as a Climate Solutions Intern, I have been introduced to new objectives and concepts connected to climate change. After hearing about the mission at GrowNYC, one of our visiting speakers, I was inspired to research the presence (or lack thereof) of produce in Fordham’s dining services. Since coming to Fordham, I and many of my classmates often struggle with the short supply and poor quality of produce. Not surprisingly, most students I know, myself included, do not reach a healthy fruit and vegetable intake on a daily basis and instead maintain a diet heavy in meat, grains, and sugar. The production of these types of foods tends to have a greater impact on the environment than that of fruits and vegetables. By tracking the consumption patterns of Fordham students, I can gain a better idea of whether or not there are disparities between the amount of produce we consume and the amount we would like to. If Fordham students display a desire to eat less meat and more vegetables, for example, this would reveal an opportunity for the dining system not only to increase student satisfaction, but also to lower its carbon footprint. Through my study, I aimed to observe whether fresh produce is an important factor to students in choosing where to eat and gain a better understanding of the energy and resources required to keep a university fed.

ArcGIS <link>StoryMaps</link> is the professional version of StoryMaps and is available as part of <link2>ArcGIS Online</link2>. Both products share similar storytelling capabilities, so if you are familiar with StoryMaps, you'll feel right at home with ArcGIS StoryMaps. If you do not migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you can save any content you would like to keep before the June 30, 2025, retirement date. The options for saving content include saving stories as a PDF and saving frames using a screen recording.

You are invited to migrate your account and content to ArcGIS Online where you can continue storytelling with maps. With ArcGIS Online, you’ll get access to ArcGIS StoryMaps and the easy-to-use story builder you are familiar with, plus so much more!

If you migrate your account to ArcGIS Online, you will have access to your existing stories, collections, and themes via ArcGIS StoryMaps, as well as an array of additional ArcGIS capabilities. (Your frames will be migrated and accessible when support for frames is added to ArcGIS StoryMaps.)
